With reference to the answer to question without notice No 375 of Wednesday, 19 September regarding dust abatement at Finucane Island, Port Hedland, in which it was stated that the matter had been referred to the mines safety inspectorate, I ask - (1) Has anyone from the mines safety inspectorate visited the Finucane Island crushing and screening plant since the date of my previous question? (2) If yes to (1), was the issue of dust abatement and the failure of the wet scrubber addressed by the inspector? (3) If yes to (1), will the minister table a copy of the inspectorate report? (4) If no to (1), why has no progress been made on this issue and when can an inspection be expected? (5) Can the minister confirm whether the wet scrubber is operational? Hon KEN TRAVERS
