The Minister Replied:
1. The current work being carried out at Derby Regional Hospital adjacent to the General Ward is the construction of the purpose-built Mental Health Rooming-In Unit, which will be fully self-contained and private from the remainder of the hospital area.
2. The anticipated cost of this current work is $250 000.
3. A final decision on the next stage of development for Derby Regional Hospital is yet to be made. The ward areas are part of the hospital that will be developed in this next stage.
