I refer to the Southern Inland Health Initiative, and ask: (a) is the town of Boyanup included in the Southern Inland Health Initiative; and (b) if not, what is the reason for it’s exclusion?

(a) No.
(b) The endorsed Southern Inland Health Initiative (SIHI) Business Case (4 July 2011) defined the boundary of the SIHI catchment.  This catchment area does not include towns within a reasonable driving distance of a regional centre. A reasonable driving distance is recognised as one (1) hour or approximately 100 kms.
Boyanup does not fall into this category as it is 18 kms from Bunbury.
