PEEL HEALTH CAMPUS
422. Mr Z.R.F. KIRKUP to the Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. Can
the minister confirm that a patient was being held in a storage area on 6 June
and that that storage area was in front of a fire door; and, if so, would that
storage have put patients' lives at risk in the case of a fire?

I wonder what was being done with
that room when the Liberal Party was in government. Is the member saying that
it was never used during the time the Liberal Party was in government? This is
what hospitals do to deal with unprecedented demand.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members!
Mr S.K. L'Estrange :
It's over to you, Treasurer.
The SPEAKER : It's
over to you, member for Churchlands. I was on my feet. I call you to order for
the first time.
Mr R.H. COOK : Members
opposite hate this stuff. They hate the fact that we have the best EDs in the
country. They will continue to perform an outstanding job for the people of the
Peel community. The member for Dawesville's constituents know that we
have spent more on that hospital than any state government in a decade and a half.
I am proud of that record.
