(2) If yes to (1), how many complaints have been received by the agency since 23 September 2008?
(3) What are the categories of complaints received?
(4) What is the nature of complaints in each category?
(5) How many of the total complaints fall into each category?
(6) How many complaints in each category are under investigation by the CCC?

As at 25 August 2009 (inclusive) -
(1) Yes
(2) 333
(3) Local Management, Central Management; child protection related and non-child protection related.
(4) Local Management refers to those matters assessed and deemed suitable for managerial action rather than formal disciplinary action. These matters primarily relate to allegations of minor inappropriate physical contact of a non-sexual nature.
Central Management refers to those matters assessed as requiring formal disciplinary management. These matters are categorised as either related to child-protection or not. Child-protection related can include matters of a sexual or non-sexual nature.
(5) Local Management 177; Central Management: child protection 81; Central Management: non-child protection 55; Central Management: allegation yet to be formed 20.
(6) All allegations of misconduct received are reported to the CCC as per legislated reporting requirements. Information with respect to matters being investigated by the CCC is not held by the Department, but rather the CCC.

(3) The complaint was in the 'Product' category.
(4) Only one complaint as above.
