ACTING INFORMATION COMMISSIONER - TENURE
I refer the Attorney General to the termination of Ms Wookey’s tenure as Acting Information Commissioner. (1) Will the Attorney General table a copy of all instruments of appointment signed by the Governor concerning Ms Wookey’s position since she was appointed in 2003? (2) If not, why not? (3) Did the Attorney General obtain legal advice concerning section 59 of the Freedom of Information Act, which limits the appointment of an acting commissioner to a period of no more than 12 months, on each occasion that Ms Wookey was reappointed as an acting commissioner?
