I refer to the Old Herne Hill quarry site, originally named Pioneer Number 1 quarry, which is to the west of Red Hill quarry, originally named Pioneer Number 2 quarry, operated by Hanson Construction Materials, and I ask —
(1) Is the Old Herne Hill quarry site covered by the Screening and Rehabilitation Program in place for Red Hill quarry?
(2) If yes to (1), what work has been done specifically to rehabilitate the Old Herne Hill quarry site since moving operations to the east to the Red Hill quarry site?
(3) If no to (1), what are the rehabilitation plans, if any, for the Old Herne Hill quarry site?

(3) Condition 4-1 of Statement 199 (as amended by Statement 705) required Hanson to prepare detailed plans for the ongoing rehabilitation of the Herne Hill Quarry (referred to as the Pioneer No.1 quarry). The
Rehabilitation Plan for the Decommissioning Herne Hill Quarry Site
was approved on 28 June 1996 and still applies today. Progressive rehabilitation has been undertaken at the old asphalt plant site, the old stockpile area, and the boundary around the Herne Hill quarry using native plants and seeds.
