Can the Minister please answer the following questions regarding Hakea Prison -
(1) Since 16 February 2001, have any employees who work at Hakea Prison received letters at their home addresses from prisoners within Hakea?
(a) If so, on how many occasions has this occurred?
(b) Can the Minister confirm that at least one employee has gone on stress leave as a result of receiving letters from a prisoner at their home address?
(2) How many assaults on prisoners by prisoners have taken place inside Hakea for each month since July 2005?
(3) Can the Minister confirm that recently one prisoner was left with severe injuries after being bashed in a “blind spot”?
(4) Can the Minister confirm that recently a prisoner who was on suicide watch at Hakea prior to being released committed suicide within hours of being granted bail?

(4)  On reception into Hakea Prison on 11 January 2006, a prisoner was  assessed and as a consequence of this assessment the prisoner was  placed on the At Risk Management System (ARMS) . The prisoner  was released on 12 January 2006. Hakea Prison was advised by the police at approximately 09:15 hours on 13 January 2006 that the  prisoner had committed suicide in the early hours of 13 January 2006.
