490. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Education:
I refer to the Department of
Education's parent liaison office established to support the resolution
of complaints from parents and carers.
(1) Can the minister advise the
number of contacts made to the parent liaison office in 2022?
(2) Of those
referred to in (1), can the minister indicate how many contacts came via the
below methods —
(a) email;
(b) phone; and
(c) mail?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) In 2022, the parent liaison
office provided advice and support for 78 complaint processes.
(2) Contacts can
be made via multiple methods in each complaints process. The Department of
Education does not record the initial interaction method.
