(1) Can the Minister advise for the 2011–2012, 2012–2013 and 2013–2014 (year to date), how many persons served time in Broome, Derby, Greenough or Roebourne Prisons under a warrant for commitment? (2) For each year what was the average length of stay in each prison? (3) In total for each year what was the cost of transport for persons taken to one of these prisons to serve out time under warrants of commitment?

Information provided relates to warrants of commitment for
fine defaulters only as defined under
Section 53 of the
Fines, Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement Act 1994
, which issues
a warrant of commitment for non-payment of fines.

Prisoners who were sentenced status with Fine Default Terms only
Excludes cases with Non-Fine Default Terms during the same placement
Excludes cases where there are remand warrants current during the same placement
