CRAIG ROSENDORFF - TAB LOSSES
I ask a supplementary question. The DEPUTY SPEAKER : Order! Whoever is making that noise on their computer, please turn it off. Mr J.E. McGRATH : If Mr Rosendorff received more than $2 million, as has been reported, from Racing and Wagering Western Australia or the TAB, are we to assume that he actually received a much higher payout if the insurance component is taken into account? Mr M. McGOWAN

As I have said, this involves a commercial decision to settle a matter between the board of Racing and Wagering Western Australia and Mr Rosendorff. The decision was made, as I understand it, by a range of people with commercial experience on the board of Racing and Wagering Western Australia. They have settled the matter. The amount in question I do not know, because it is subject to a confidentiality agreement. Racing and Wagering Western Australia - the member should know this - is a commercial operation. If its internal decisions in this regard are to be thrown around all the time, the member will be doing the racing industry no service by his actions.
