WESTERN AUSTRALIAN TOURISM COMMISSION
As previously advised in question on notice 2142 a total of 3 laptops and 10 mobile phones were lost or stolen.
(a) Four (4) mobile phones.
(b) The theft of the mobile phones were reported to the Police at the time they were noticed as being stolen in June 2000, July 2001, June 2002 and September 2002.
(c) The equipment has not been recovered.
(d) The loss of the three (3) laptops occurred during Telstra Rally Australia. No report was actioned at the time as a full audit of equipment was conducted by staff some time after Telstra Rally Australia had finished.
The six (6) mobile phones that were lost were not reported to the Police due to their low replacement cost.
