On behalf of the Minister for Child Protection, I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (1) Under the Roundup Ready canola 2010 crop management plan, all GM growers have been requested to inform their neighbours of their intention to plant GM canola. Open communication between neighbours will benefit all members of the WA grains industry. The planting locations will be made publicly available on the Department of Agriculture and Food’s website. (2) Yes. The letter to the Premier was received by my office, attached to a Gene Ethics media release. To the best of my knowledge, the Premier’s office has never received the letter. (3) Not applicable. (4) I table the attached document. [See paper 1977.]
