I refer to the properties at 140-142 Cobb Street, Doubleview, and I ask: (a) are they still owned by the Department of Housing; (b) what was the date of the car crash which damaged the car port and dividing fence at one of these units; (c) on what date was the Department of Housing informed of this crash and the damage to the property; (d) why has the damage to this unit not yet been repaired; and (e) when will the unit be repaired?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a)
Yes, the Department owns the complex, but the two front units are leased to Community Housing Limited.

Community Housing Limited arranged immediate temporary repairs to secure the carport following the accident. Community Housing Limited was waiting on information from the Dianella Police regarding the identity of the person who caused the damage.
Full repairs have been subject to liability and insurance matters being finalised through the WA Police and relevant insurance companies.
(e)
The carport post at 140-142 Cobb Street was replaced on 8 May 2014; the repair to the fence is yet to be completed.
