I refer to orthophosphate treatments carried out on the Perth Children's Hospital's potable water system prior to the opening of the hospital and I ask: (a) Have any orthophosphate treatments been carried out on any part of the hospital's water system since the opening of the hospital; and (b) Have any othophosphate treatments been carried out on the water supply at any other public health facility in the past five years?

(a) Yes. Perth Children’s Hospital utilises an automatic phosphate dosing system that was installed before the opening of the hospital and uses a potable approved liquid polyphosphate.
(b) No. This is mainly due to there being no lead pipes on other public health facilities, and as such there is no requirement for any inhibitors.
