With regard to former Oombulgurri community members now living in Wyndham, I ask: (a) how many former Oombulgurri community residents have been translocated to Wyndham and how many to other Kimberley towns: (i) what are their ages; (ii) how many are now in school or work; (iii) how many have been re-housed and where is this housing located; (iv) how many are still homeless; and (v) how many houses in each of the Kimberley towns to which the translocation occurred have become overcrowded as a result of the closure of Oombulgurri; (b) what action is being taken by the Department of Aboriginal Affairs and other government departments to monitor and assist those people who have been translocated; and (c) how has the translocation affected the overall health and wellbeing of former Oombulgurri residents, children and adults?

(a) 93 identified residents were translocated to Wyndham and/or Kununurra in January 2012.
(i) This information should be sought from the Minister for Housing.
(ii) Twenty three students who were formerly enrolled at Oombulgurri Remote Community School are enrolled at Wyndham District High School. A further 14 students are enrolled in various other Government schools. The Commonwealth Government is responsible for collation of work related data therefore this information should be sought from the Commonwealth.

(b) This information should be sought from the Minister for Housing and the Minister for Child Protection.
(c) No formal assessment has been undertaken, however, former residents now have access to better services in Wyndham and Kununurra. In addition, residents are no longer exposed to the high levels of dysfunction experienced in the community prior to its closure.
