HOUSING —
BUILDING APPROVALS
252. Hon COLIN de GRUSSA to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Housing:
I refer to the article in today's
fluff piece in The West Australian in which the minister has indicated
that over the past year, there have been 24 000 building approvals, which he
predicted would stabilise the rental market over the next 18 months, and aims
for a six per cent net increase in social housing by 2030.
(1) How many
building approvals are in regional WA?
(2) Please
provide a breakdown for part (1).
(3) Can the
government please provide the following figures —
(a) the number of
dwellings that have been added to the social housing stock since September
2020;
(b) the number of dwellings that have been removed
from the social housing stock since September 2020 ; and
(c) the number of
dwellings that have been planned and funded but are not yet complete?
(4) Do the figures in parts (1) to (3) include public
housing and community housing; and, if yes, please provide a breakdown
of how many are in each region?
