(a) The Office of Heritage met with the consultant engaged by the Department of Indigenous Affairs to review the
Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972
for informal discussion on 19 July 2011 and 13 September 2011. No formal submission on the review has been made.
(b) The Office of Heritage briefed the Director General and senior officials of the Department of Indigenous Affairs on the Review of the Heritage Act Consultation Paper on 10 May 2011.
The Heritage Act review was discussed with the consultant engaged by the Department of Indigenous Affairs' to review the
Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972
in July and September 2011.
The second stage of the Heritage Act Review involved the publication of a Discussion Paper on 20 September 2011. The Discussion Paper set out and sought feedback on a series of proposals on the strategic directions of a new Heritage Act developed in response to the views and ideas received from individuals and organisations through the first phase of public consultation.
