(1) For the twelve months to February 2010, customers in the suburb of Bassendean have experienced on average, 2.51 sustained interruptions (SAIFI). Comparatively, customers in all suburbs in the Metropolitan (and Mandurah) area have experienced on average 2.54 interruptions over the same time period.
(2) Expressions of interest for Major Residential Project Funding through the State Underground Power Program closed on 19 February 2010 and assessment is currently underway. An announcement of short-listed proposals is anticipated in the middle of the year. Scheduling of projects will then be finalised.
(3) As the Town of Bassendean has not previously participated in the Major Residential Projects part of the program, there is no cost data with respect to underground power for Bassendean.
I am happy to offer the Member a briefing on the State Underground Power Program by the Office of Energy.
