I refer to the South West Regional Blueprint (blueprint), and I ask: (a) what was the cost of preparing the blueprint; (b) were consultants engaged to prepare the blueprint and, if yes, who were they; (c) how much were the consultants paid; (d) how many projects identified in the blueprint have been funded; (e) for each project identified in (d), state the name of the project, the location, the current status of the project and the amount of funding provided; (f) are any projects in the blueprint currently under funding consideration and, if yes, identify each project and the cost of the project; and (g) the Minister’s media statement announcing the release of the blueprint states that the blueprint initiative is supported by $362 million in Royalties for Regions funding, how much of this funding was expended in preparing the blueprints and will the Minister provide a breakdown of how the money was spent, including the names of consultants engaged and the amount paid to each consultant business?

(d)    The South West Regional Blueprint sets out a strategy and vision for growth in the South West region to 2050 through the identification of Regional Priorities; a series of projects and programs to be delivered through collaboration with local, regional and Statewide agencies and organisations.
South West Development Commission works with multiple agencies and organisations across the region to facilitate economic development and job creation to support the region’s growth in the context of the Blueprint.  The South West Development Commission is not responsible for the successful funding or implementation of all of the Regional Priorities set out in the Blueprint and so questions relating to specific delivery areas should be directed to the individual agency(ies) responsible.  However, the Commission is able to provide a list of projects identified in the Blueprint for which it has had a key role in securing or delivering funding.
(e)    The attached table contains a list of projects included in the Blueprint which have secured funding through or by the South West Development Commission and include Royalties for Regions Growing Our South and Regional Blueprint Funds.
Further Regional Priorities set out in the Blueprint received funding prior to the release of the Blueprint, for example, the Regional Centres Development Plan (SuperTowns) funding for Collie, Manjimup and Margaret River.
(f)    This information is unavailable as any projects currently under the assessment process are subject to Cabinet in Confidence.
(g)    Refer to  (a) and (b) for those relating to the South West Regional Blueprint
