Mr McGinty requests a list of cases involving the Planning Commission, which Mr Kierath (the Minister) declines to provide immediately but promises to attempt to obtain. The Minister highlights that costs are primarily compensation to property owners, not legal damages.

Unlike the nit-picking answer to the last question, will the minister now table a list of cases involving the Planning Commission? Mr KIERATH

AnswerView source ↗

No, I cannot table that information right now but I will attempt to get that information for the member. As I have explained to the House, the example I have given is the worst case scenario. In many cases there are greater benefits than that. Most of the costs involved are not involved in legal costs - damages or any other form - but are involved in compensation to the private property owners concerned.
