(1)
(a) With the support of the Public Transport Authority (PTA), the Shire of Merredin is currently investigating if the Merredin Railway Water Tank can be strengthened, enabling it to remain in place or whether it must be removed. If it is to be removed, replacement of the tank is an option that will be considered.
(b) The PTA has advised the Shire of Merredin it is willing to fund the repair work. It is too premature for the PTA to consider replacing the tank.
