BUILDING
SUBCONTRACTORS — INVESTIGATION
627. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Finance:
I refer the Minister for Finance to the contractor complaints
log provided to my office under freedom of information application 48-01591.
(1) When was this centralised contractor complaints log
initially created?
(2) Why was
this log not provided to the Western Australian Small Business Commissioner, Mr
David Eaton, when he was undertaking his contractor–subcontractor
investigation?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) Subcontractor
non-payment complaints were first consolidated into the centralised log in
October 2012.
(2) A final
version of the log, covering the period of the investigation, was provided to
the Small Business Commissioner in December 2012.
