The Minister Replied:
(1) The matter referred to by the Member was considered in the context of a financing arrangement and was not proceeded with. (2) Advice on the Tender for the Ownership and Management of the Transperth Bus Fleet was provided over an extended period, as various options and variations on financing the bus fleet were explored. The cumulative sum paid to the firm Skea, Nelson and Hager for this project was $1 435 161. There are no outstanding fees for services over the past four months.
(3) The Tender for the Ownership and Management of the Transperth Bus Fleet was subject to the normal Government tendering process and conducted by Contract and Management Services (CAMS). Skea, Nelson and Hager was engaged by the Crown Solicitor's Office to provide legal advice to the tender evaluation panel.
