Vaccine Safety Surveillance System—COVID vaccines
243. Hon Rod Caddies to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Health:
I refer to recent
disclosures in the United States Senate that indicate public health officials were
aware as early as March 2021 of serious risks linked to COVID-19 vaccines such
as myocarditis, multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children and sudden deaths
but failed to alert the public and underplayed the risk.
(1) Is the Department of Health aware of these
disclosures?
(2) Has the department reviewed the evidence
released by the US Senate?
(3) When will the 2024 Western Australian Vaccine
Safety Surveillance annual report be published?
(4) Will this government apologise for mandating
that Western Australians take the COVID vaccines and for leading the public to
believe they were completely safe and effective?
