(1) I am aware that the Nurses Ministry of Justice Enterprise Agreement has been finalised following recommendations from the Australian Industrial Relations Commission. (2) The processes for both parties to gain final approval for the agreement were the principal causes for delays in having the agreement finalised. Nurses covered by the agreement were not disadvantaged by the delays, given that the operative dates for the wage increases set out in the agreements were already fixed. (3) I signed the agreement on 7 September 2000, and the Australian Industrial Relations Commission certified it on 18 September 2000. (4) Refer to the answer to (3)
