I refer to Budget Paper No. 2, Volume 1 at page 272 "Spending Changes", line item "Sustainable Funding and Contracting with the not-for-profit sector", and ask: (a) are services that were previously delivered by the Department of Education now to be delivered by the not-for-profit sector; (b) what not-for-profit organisations are delivering these services; (c) how were these not-for-profit organisations selected to deliver these services; (d) what safeguards are in place to ensure the standard of the services being delivered is maintained; and (e) are any of these services being delivered in the South West?

(a) No.  These services have not previously been delivered by the Department of Education and are existing contract arrangements with the not-for-profit sector. This is Component II funding from the State Government's Sustainable Funding and Contracting With the Not-For-Profit Sector initiative.  This funding was provided to eligible contracts with existing service providers.
