WESTERN POWER CORPORATION, SPONSORSHIPS
I refer to the 2001 annual report and environmental review of Western Power Corporation. (1) How much does Western Power spend on assisting or sponsoring sporting or community organisations within Western Australia and Australia? (2) How much does Western Power spend on assisting or sponsoring independent community renewable energy programs in Western Australia and Australia? (3) In line with section 175ZE of the Electoral Act, Western Power, a state monopoly, identified in its annual report that it spent $3.4 million on advertising in the last financial year. Does the minister consider that these moneys would be more appropriately spent in assisting either sporting or community organisations or renewable energy developments in WA? (4) If no to (3), why not? Hon KIM CHANCE
