BUSSELL HIGHWAY —
DUPLICATION
852. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the duplication of a 17-kilometre
section of Bussell Highway between Bunbury and Busselton, and the minister's
commitment of project completion by the end of calendar year 2024.
(1) From a starting
budget of $80 million, with works commencing in January 2020, what is the
current project budget completion allocation?
(2) What is the
apportionment of federal funding to state funding on this project and, as at 14
August 2024, what are the current respective amounts?
(3) Given that the Main Roads website detailing this
project, which was last updated on 31 July 2024, specifies that the
project will be completed in early 2025, and the minister's commitment
to completion by the end of 2024, is Main Roads or the minister correct about
the timeframe for completion?
