SWAN RIVER — FERRIES — FEASIBILITY STUDIES
1073. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I
refer to the media article titled ''Government calls on WA industry to
design Perth's newest ferries'' on 25 August 2024.
(1) Have any previous feasibility
studies been completed into expanded ferry services on the Swan River?
(2) If yes to (1), when did these
occur?
(3) If yes to (1), will the minister
table the studies?
(4) Why have no ferry services west
of Applecross been included?
(5) Why is the government still
considering diesel-powered ferries?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. This answer has been provided by the Minister for
Transport.
(1)–(5) I am surprised to find the honourable member
interested in this initiative, given his opposition to expanding public
