(1)(a) The Fines Enforcement Registry of the Department of Justice notified the Department for Planning and Infrastructure of 3736 new Fines Enforcement suspensions issued to drivers in March 2005. (b)492 drivers had their licence suspended due to Demerit Point Suspension. (2) During the month of March 2005, 592 letters of 'Notice of Accumulation of Demerit Points' were sent out by DPI. (3) 290 drivers failed to comply with the letter requesting them to present themselves to the licensing centre and personally hand in their driver's licence during the month of March 2005. (4) 115 drivers had to be personally served with a notice by a DPI Compliance Officer during the month of March 2005.
