SCHOOLS — CRITICAL INCIDENTS
886. Mr P.J. RUNDLE to the Minister for Education:
I
have a supplementary question. Does the minister agree with the president of
the WA Primary Principals' Association that the toll on school
leaders is unsustainable?
The SPEAKER : The Minister for
Education.

I know what the Speaker was going to say, but we are near
Christmas. We are in a Christmas spirit.
The SPEAKER : You can say no. It is potentially asking
for an opinion, but yes.
Dr A.D. BUTI : That is right. I have a very good
relationship with Niel Smith of the WA Primary Principals' Association.
We meet regularly and we discuss many issues. He is very supportive of the
initiatives that we are undertaking. This is a complex and difficult area. I think
I outlined a number of initiatives and measures and we will continue to look at
what else we can do.
