FREMANTLE CAT BUS SERVICE
783. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the decision to increase
the frequency of the 532 bus service to replace the Fremantle CAT service.
What will be the annual cost to the
state government to fund the increased frequency of the 532 bus?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I represent the Minister for Transport, so I provide
the answer.
The frequency of the 532 bus
service is being increased following the City of Fremantle's decision
to withdraw its funding contribution to the Fremantle CAT. The state government
has redirected its funding contribution to the Fremantle CAT service to the
increased frequency of the 532 in the amount of $540 000 per annum.
