I
refer to the Ministerial Statement regarding the tabling of Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) Amendment
1308/41, in which it was stated that four areas that were originally proposed
to be reserved as parks and recreation in a future MRS amendment would now be
included in the amendment area as urban deferred, and I ask: (a) are
these the areas contiguous with Bush Forever sites that were originally
excluded from the amendment area; (b) could
the Minister please table the report/advice from the investigations that
confirmed that it was appropriate for these areas to be included in the urban
deferred zone; and (c) could the Minister please explain why zoning these areas as park and recreation was not done during this amendment process?
