METRONET
873. Dr M.D. NAHAN to the Minister for Transport:
I have a supplementary question.
Will the minister explain why she continually uses access to business cases as
the excuse for her failures and lack of transparency, given that she knows that
the Public Transport Authority has access to all the information she needs? All
she needs to do is share it.

If that is the case, why will the
Leader of the Opposition not release it?
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members!
Mr W.R. Marmion interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for
Nedlands, it is not a chat fest. I call you to order for the first time.
Ms R. SAFFIOTI : Let us go
through it. I have made 19 separate media appearances since 22 September in
which I have talked about this project—19 separate media appearances.
The Leader of the Opposition wants to hide the project definition plan.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members!
Ms R. SAFFIOTI : The former
government produced a glossy brochure that said that tunnelling was easy and
tunnelling was great; that is basically what it did. Let us understand why the
Leader of the Opposition is not releasing the PDP. He should release it and
then come in and talk about transparency.
