570. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to recent media reports regarding ride-sharing smart
phone apps, including the possible introduction of Uber.
(1) Has the
Minister for Transport or his department met with representatives of the Uber
smart phone app; and, if so, when and with whom?
(2) Is the
minister considering providing approval for the Uber app to be used in Western
Australia?
(3) If yes to
(2), when does the minister expect to make the decision?
