(b) how many redundancies have been offered within the department or agency from 16 March 2009 to date;
(c) how many employees have accepted a voluntary redundancy within the department or agency since 16 March 2009; and

(a) I meet regularly with agency heads and the Treasurer to discuss a range of issues, including agency resourcing matters.
(b-c) As at 20 October 2009, 458 voluntary separation applications had been supported by the Public Sector Commission under the 2009 Targeted Employment Separation Offer. That offer was open to all public sector agencies that were required to meet the Government's 3% efficiency dividend.
Following the support of the Public Sector Commission, agencies provide a formal offer of severance to the employee. As and when the offer is accepted by the employee, their agency confirms the employee's acceptance to the Public Sector Commission. Of the 458 applications supported, the Public Sector Commission had been advised that 259 offers had been accepted.
(d) As at 20 October 2009, the Public Sector Commission had been advised that the indicative separation costing, including leave, for the 259 offers that had been accepted totalled $ 26,031,710.
