This spending change reflects an adjustment to funding requirements for the Increased Breath and Drug Testing initiative in 2014-15.
A review of expected costs and funding requirements for Road Trauma Trust Fund (RTTA) initiatives is undertaken each year as part of the annual Budget submission process to the Office of Road Safety. Compared to the original submission and budget estimates by WA Police for the Increased Breath and Drug Testing initiative, a reduction to funding requirements in 2014-15 of $0.11 million was identified, resulting in an adjustment to previously approved funding levels.
