LATE-NIGHT TRAINS — PASSENGER NUMBERS
117. Ms R. SAFFIOTI to the Minister for
Transport:
I refer to the fact that the Public
Transport Authority got the patronage numbers completely wrong for the people
catching late-night trains. If the PTA is unable to count actual people on
actual trains, how can the minister rely on any figures provided by the PTA, in
particular when it involves investing billions of dollars on projects based on
PTA patronage projections?

We have just had a preliminary analysis
done by an external consultant. I do not see how that relates to the PTA.
