I refer to the power outage problems afflicting Kalgoorlie, and I ask for the 2022-23 year: (a) On how many occasions was there a power outage; (b) How many power outage instances lasted more than 5 minutes; (c) How many times was the Synergy West Kalgoorlie gas fired back up plant used to supply power during an outage; (d) Why wasn't the Synergy West Kalgoorlie back up plant used on all occasions when power supply was disrupted for more than 5 minutes; and (e) Is the Synergy West Kalgoorlie back up plant set to start up automatically when there is a power supply disruption, and if not, why not?

(a) There were no interruptions to power supply to customers as a result of an outage on the main 220kV transmission line to Kalgoorlie in 2022-23 financial year.
(b) – (d) N/A see (a)
(e) During the 2022-23 financial year, the plant was able to be remotely controlled from the AEMO control room (which operates 24/7), so the generators could be started at any time when required.
