WESTERN
POWER — PRIVATISATION
300. Mr W.J. JOHNSTON to the
Treasurer:
I have a supplementary question.
What assurances can the Treasurer give to Western Australians so that they can
trust him when he says that he will not privatise Western Power when he has
spent the past 30 years asking governments to sell assets?

The member for Cannington has been
lecturing us on how to save money, yet he has spent most of his life trying to
get more money out of government through the union movement. We have different
roles in life here, and the decision of the government is not to sell Western
Power. That is it.
