representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the ''Major Transport Project Development—Kewdale
Intermodal Terminal and Rail Network'' contained in the 2012–13
budget.
(1) Does the government still intend to proceed with this
project?
(2) Can the
minister identify the page number and the project name for this intermodal
terminal in the 2013–14 budget?
(3) How much was spent on this
project in the 2012–13 financial year?
(4) If the
government has cancelled or deferred this project, why was this not identified
in budget paper No 3?

question. The Department of Transport advises as follows.
(1) Yes.
(2) The ''Major
Transport Project Development—Kewdale Intermodal Terminal and Rail
Network'' project consists of two sub-projects, the budgets for which
have been transferred to the relevant delivery agencies. These are the north
quay rail terminal stage 2 extension, Fremantle Port Authority, at page 414;
and Spearwood crossing loop, Public Transport Authority, included in the rail
infrastructure program at page 404. A third sub-project, the Kewdale intermodal
terminal, has been discontinued.
(3) The amount
spent was $750 507: north quay rail terminal, $636 456; Spearwood crossing
loop, $73 936; and Kewdale intermodal terminal, $40 115.
(4) Not applicable.
