(1) The following relates to the period of 1 January 2006 to 31 December 2006.
(a) Infringements are not issued for this offence.
(b) Infringements are not issued for this offence.
(c) This offence may be dealt with by way of infringement, summons, and/or arrest. Police are unable to separate the number of infringements from summons and advise that a total of 2654 infringements and summons were issued for this offence. It should be noted that this does not necessarily represent 2654 separate occurrences of this offence because where infringements are contested a summons is then issued by Police for the matter to proceed to a court hearing.
(d) These offences may be dealt with by way of infringement, summons, and/or arrest. Police are unable to separate the number of infringements from summons and advise that a total of 2509 infringements and summons were issued for these offences. It should be noted that this does not necessarily represent 2509 separate occurrences of these offences because where infringements are contested a summons is then issued by Police for the matter to proceed to a court hearing.
(2) In the period of 1 January 2006 to 31 December 2006, a total of 459,082 Traffic Infringement Notices were issued.
