The WA Government is retaining some land for a Busselton railway line, but has no plans to acquire land for a Geraldton-Busselton rail service due to lack of identified need and business case. The impact of an ambulance centre on the rail reserve depends on its location.

(1) The Public Transport Authority (PTA) will continue to retain relevant portions of the land enacted under The Boyanup - Busselton Railway Act 1892, No 2 of 1892.
(2) This would depend on the location of the proposed ambulance centre.
(3) As the PTA has not identified the need for a railway service between these centres, and in the absence of a compelling need supported by a strong business case, there are no plans to acquire land for this purpose.
