HOUSE PRICES —
PREMIER'S COMMENTS
195. Dr M.D. NAHAN to the Premier:
I
refer to the Premier's comments in November last year in which he
provided financial advice to Western Australian families; namely, that
the time was right to buy a house. He said, ''It is actually a good time
to buy'' and ''I would encourage people''. Given that
advice from CoreLogic last week was that experts are warning that house prices
may have further to fall, and new data today showing that house prices are
continuing fall, will the Premier admit that his advice to Western Australian
families on the housing market was not only wrong, but irresponsible?
