I refer to the minister’s use of the government charter plane, details of which were tabled in the House the other day. They appear to show that during the period for which the details were tabled the minister spent approximately 183 days using the charter plane. As that amounts to half a year, will the minister undertake to table details of his engagements and of his hire car use on these trips? Hon TOM STEPHENS

I will consider the member’s request and compare my use of the plane with past practice. I make no apology to the House or to anyone else for embarking on a comprehensive program of regional representation to ensure that people from all parts of this State have access to a government minister. Hon Peter Foss: I am asking what you were doing and how much it cost. Hon TOM STEPHENS: I am prepared to consider the question.
