COAL-FIRED POWER
STATIONS — COLLIE
974. Hon BEN DAWKINS to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer to the government
announcement published on 20 June 2022 and last updated on 17 August 2023
titled ''State-owned coal power stations to be retired by 2030 with move
towards renewable energy''. Due to the continuing importance of coal in
the state's energy mix, will the minister guarantee the extension of
the life of the coal-fired power stations in Collie beyond 2030, until at least
2034?
