In relation to the Western Australian film ‘Stone Brothers’, funded by the Western Australian Government and addressing Indigenous incarceration and drug use in a humorous, entertaining fashion:
(a) what assistance – be it in kind, financial, manpower, premises, uniforms, etc. - did the Minister’s departments provide to the film-makers in the making or publicising of this film;
(b) what assistance – be it in kind, financial, manpower, premises, uniforms, etc. - did other Government Departments provide to the film-makers in the making or publicising of this film; and
(c) in supporting the film, from what other Government Departments did Filmwest or any agency within your portfolio request assistance – be it in kind, financial, manpower, premises, uniforms, etc. –to the film-makers for the making or publicising of this film?

(a) ScreenWest provided the following support to 'Stone Bros.':
· Production investment of $600 000;
· $25 000 in Attachments funding - this funded emerging filmmakers to work on the film under the guidance of a professional, thereby gaining experiencing and skills
· Liaised with the organisers of CinéfestOZ and the producer regarding the film having its WA premiere screening at CinéfestOZ.
· Contributed $2 500 towards the cost of flights, accommodation and per diems for the lead actors and a Kalgoorlie-based Indigenous filmmaker (directly connected to the film) to attend the CinéfestOZ event;
· In partnership with the producer and distributor, organised a Perth premiere and media screening (contribution to costs of $2 357);
· Provided feedback to the producer and publicist in relation to the film's marketing strategy; and
· Presented articles in the ScreenWest e-newsletter ScreenOnline, website and Twitter.
The Western Australian Museum provided access to the Perth Museum site for location filming.
(b) The Locations Manager and Art Department would have liaised with WA Police and Main Roads regarding traffic and road closures as is standard practice. Similarly, they would have sought permits to film on Department of Environment and Conservation land.
