DISTRICT COURT —
APPEAL DECISION
510. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Attorney General:
I
refer to the parliamentary secretary's answer on 10 May 2023 to my
question without notice in which the house was informed that the
Attorney General had received advice from the State Solicitor's Office
and the Solicitor-General and, having considered this advice, found ''there
are no reasonable grounds to suspect that the preparation of the reasons in
that matter has involved, or may have involved, any serious misconduct''.
(1) On what date did the State
Solicitor's Office provide its advice?
(2) On what date did the
Solicitor-General provide his advice?
(3) Prior to the two pieces of advice being provided,
were Chief Assessor Holyoak-Roberts and Assessor Hafford asked to
provide a statement regarding this matter that District Court Judge Staude
described in his judgement as ''gravely disquieting''?
