(a) Emerging treatments for all cancers are contingent on registration with the Therapeutic Goods Administration, including physical modalities such as histotripsy. The Department of Health will continue to monitor developments through existing Health Technology governance and assessment processes and consider its potential application in Western Australia should sufficient clinical evidence and regulatory approvals be established.
